Psili Amos - Astris - Aliki - Kinira

These picturesque areas are found along the South and Southeast side of the island. Along with abundant plantation and being very close to the sea, there are many fantastic beaches bordering the light blue sea water. These places are ideal for persons seeking a calm and natural lifestyle.

Theologos

The most traditional village on the island. Very peaceful and beautiful, located in an interesting area on a mountain in the center of the island.

Potamia

A village divided into two parts: Potamia and Skala Potamia. A combination of peace and tradition living close to the forest and the sea with increasing development and tourism. One of the biggest and most popular beaches on the island is located here, Golden Beach, with crystal clear water and good night life. An ideal place for those who enjoy the combination of calm living around nature and some night life, which includes cafes and tavernas along the beach and a few night clubs.

Prinos

This village is divided into three parts: Prinos, Skala Prinos and Kazaviti. The second biggest port of the island is located in Skala Prinos, a splendid area full of wonderful beaches and tourist attractions. Prinos is the business and shopping center of the area where the schools and offices are located, along with the only health center on Thassos. Every Monday the bazaar is also happening in Prinos. Kazaviti is on the nearby mountain in a peaceful and quiet area, a traditional village surrounded by trees and nature.

Sotiros

This village is divided into two parts: Sotiros and Skala Sotiros. Skala Sotiros is the part of the village by the sea, a peaceful and beautiful place with satisfying nightlife. Sotiros is the traditional and quiet part that is not right by the sea, but has all that is necessary for living.

Kalirachi

A vilage on the West coast of Thassos on a mountain and by the sea (Skala Kalirachi) at the same time. Very alive and with many tourists, there are beautiful beaches along the coast here and the view to the sea from the mountain is fantastic.

Limenas

The island's beautiful capital, also known as Thassos Town, is the location of the largest and busiest port of Thassos. Surrounded by incredible forrested mountains and the sea, you have a nice view of mainland Greece from this northern part of the island on clear days. Full of shops, offices and tourist attractions, this fairly large town has intense night life and is near many amazing beaches. Countless ruins can be observed in and around town, including ancient temples and the acropolis. There is also an ancient theater on a hillside next to town where performances are held during the summer season, and a museum very close to down town where there is much to see. Development is increasing at a faster and faster rate each passing year here. Limenas is surrounded by the coastal areas of Nisteri, Glyfada and Makryammos. All of these areas offer significant natural beauty all around and some of the most wonderful beaches the island has to offer.

Maries

Another village divided into two parts: Maries and Skala Maries. Skala Maries has great traditional taverns by the sea and also some incredible beaches, and Maries is a very quiet village away from intense life and maintains its traditions.

Limenaria

The second largest town on Thassos located on the Southwest coast, Limenaria has many splendid attractions and is a place where one can find almost everything. A beautiful and tranquil coastal village that is growing quite quickly.

Potos

Characteristics of this village are the sandy beaches it borders and the intense nightlife it has during the summer. Many young people are attracted here due to the multiple cafes and bars along the sandy beaches. Potos is crossed with many tight alleys and few roads wide enough for cars.

Rachoni

Rachoni is a village divided into two parts: Rachoni and Skala Rachoni. Skala Rachoni is rapidly becoming developed and is right between the two main ports of Thassos on the North side of the island. It has a very clean and wonderful beach and is becoming more and more popular among tourists. Rachoni is a small, quiet and traditional village built on a mountain and offers a view to the sea and surrounding mountain terrain. It is one of the few villages on Thassos that remains the same all year round, almost unphased by tourism.

Panagia

At this very unique place on the mountain that separates Limenas from Golden Beach, this extremely traditional and picturesque village seems to be just tucked into the beautiful green and lush mountainside that looks down to Golden Beach. Lined with canals where the mountain spring water flows down freely, people often fall in love with this village after visiting it just once. Full of cafes and tavernas, many with breath-taking views of the Golden Beach Bay, this is a wonderful place that combines tradition and development. You can find almost anything you need here.

Pefkari

A very green area between Limenaria and Potos. An impressive area, peaceful and with lots of tourists. The beach here is very nice and busy during the tourist season. Lined with cafes and restaurants, it's a wonderful place to enjoy quiet and fun times with friends and family.
